Making Marketing Research Fun

I delivered a lecture on Marketing Research at the University of Hull yesterday. Although I personally find the subject interesting, I recall the research module being the least appealing to my classmates during studying for my BA (hons) in Applied Social Sciences. With this in mind, I aimed to make the lecture as engaging as possible by including some context to the theory (as well as humour!).

I always find being able to apply theory to the real world helps me learn. Encouraging students to think about how the theory would apply to a potential future job role often helps them understand the subject, as well as encouraging them to think about life beyond the library.
